Slate

Slate:  The natural beauty of slate enhances quality, image and value with a broad range of colors and textures. Usually thought of in black, gray or green but in reality available in over sixty natural colors from around the world.  Fine-grained, foliated, homogeneous, metamorphic rock derived from an original shale-type sedimentary rock composed of clay, quartz or volcanic ash through low grade regional metamorphism the result is a foliated rock in which the foliation may not correspond to the original sedimentary layering.  Sealants are often used to improve durability, appearance, increase stain resistance and reduce efflorescence.  An excellent product for both indoor/outdoor living styles.
